Throughout 2023, SEWF partnered with Amsterdam Impact and Social Enterprise NL to bring together the global social enterprise community through three events: the Youth Forum, Policy Forum and SEWF23 in Amsterdam. Together, they explored how collective action can create sustainable change that puts people and planet first.

SEWF23 Week

Community Hubs

SEWF Community Hubs connected local communities with the global conversation, enabling people to participate in SEWF23 from closer to home. More than 500 people joined 21 Community Hubs across Australia, Aotearoa New Zealand, Canada, China, England, Finland, Ghana, Hong Kong, Ireland, Japan, Malaysia, Rwanda, Scotland, Solomon Islands, Sri Lanka and Vietnam.

Fringe Day

On 10 October, partners hosted a series of Fringe Day events exploring topics including research and education, trust-based funding, wellbeing in entrepreneurship and social procurement, extending the conversations beyond the main conference programme.

Social Enterprise Tours

Participants explored six regional social enterprise ecosystems across the Netherlands through guided tours of Amsterdam North, Amsterdam West, Flevoland, Apeldoorn, Rotterdam and The Hague.

Youth Forum

On 28 March 2023, hundreds of young changemakers came together for the virtual SEWF Youth Forum. Co-designed by the SEWF Youth Advisory Group, the event created opportunities for young people to learn from one another, exchange ideas, build networks and help shape the future of social enterprise.

Policy Forum

On 24 May 2023, policymakers, social entrepreneurs and social enterprise supporters from around the world gathered online to discuss the growing recognition of social enterprise and the policies needed to strengthen social enterprise ecosystems.
