Data Controller

The Data Controller is SEWF C.I.C.

SEWF does not have a DPO. SEWF’s Managing Director is responsible for the implementation of this policy. Any questions about this policy should be directed to enquiries@sewfonline.com

Information we collect

We collect information to inform existing and potential clients of events, consultancy services, resources, research and news that might be of interest.  For example, when you register to attend our events, receive consultancy support or sign up to our mailing list, we’ll ask for personal and business information, such as your name, company name, email address and telephone number. The information we request is dependent on the service you receive.

How we collect your information

We collect your information when you provide it to us, for example by contacting us regarding our services or by requesting our newsletter or giving us your business card. Depending on the service you receive we may also collect information from third parties.

How we use information we collect

We use the information we collect from all our services for administrative and legitimate business purposes, to provide, maintain, protect and improve our services, to develop new ones, and to protect SEWF.

When you contact SEWF, we may keep a record of your communication to help solve any issues.

We will use your email address to inform you about our services, such as letting you know about upcoming events, consultancy services, resources, research and news.

We will ask for your consent before using information for a purpose other than those that are set out in this Privacy Policy.

Disclosure of your information

We will not sell your personal data to any third parties.

We may share personal information with other companies and individuals within SEWF, and with selected third parties such as event hosts, business partners, suppliers and sub-contractors for the performance of any contract we enter into with them or you.

We may share your information with analytics and search engine providers that assist us in the improvement and optimisation of our site and services.

We may disclose your personal information if we have a legal obligation to do so, or to protect the rights and property of SEWF.

Data Retention

We retain your information for no longer than necessary, taking into account any legal obligations we have and our legitimate interests as a business.

Information security

SEWF aim to protect your data from unauthorised access or unauthorised alteration, disclosure or destruction using appropriate technical and organisational measures.

Your rights

You have the right to object to your data being processed in certain circumstances. You have the right to ask us not to contact you for marketing purposes and/or to withdraw your consent to direct marketing at any time. You can exercise this right at any time after giving consent by contacting us at enquiries@sewfonline.com or unsubscribing via our online marketing tool, Mailchimp.
