Maria Theresa Villatoro

Maria Theresa Villatoro is an educator, activist, and social entrepreneur working at the intersection of human development and design. She is the founder of STEM IN A BOX, a youth-led initiative enabling students in at-risk communities to assemble robots from electric waste in Latin America and Africa. Maria is a Master’s candidate at the University of Colorado Boulder ATLAS Institute, where she is pursuing a specialisation in Technology and Design for Social Impact.
