James Finnie

James Finnie is a senior social enterprise specialist with over 35 years of national and international experience in business development, innovation strategy and the design of mission-driven commercial models. Having worked across the corporate, third and social enterprise sectors, he brings an integrated perspective on how high-impact social innovation can be realised. James has pioneered the work in Scotland to introduce the social enterprise business model for University spin-outs and developed Scotland’s first inward-investment strategy for social enterprise to support the international expansion of best-practice models. He works with SEWF as an associate team member.
