Roopa Mehta

Roopa Mehta is Secretary of Sarba Shanti Ayog (SSA) and Executive Director of Sasha Association for Craft Producers (Sasha), a pioneering Fair Trade social enterprise in India. She has served on the Boards of Sadhna (Seva Mandir’s handicrafts initiative), Fair Trade Forum-India and All India Artisans and Craftworkers Welfare Association (AIACA). She is a former President of the World Fair Trade Organization, long advocating for Fair Trade and artisan livelihoods.

With an MBA from Delhi University and qualifications in Social Communication, Roopa began in hospitality and merchandising, later becoming CEO of a textiles company before joining Sasha. She continues to champion sustainable, equitable and dignified livelihoods.
