Ioana Samoil has been coordinating the work of the NESsT IKEA Accelerator Programme in Poland and Romania, representing NESsT and leading on all the portfolio-related topics in Romania for the past two years. Ioana’s background includes eight years in investment banking where she worked for three top banks in Romania, financial and business analysis, investments, financial planning and modelling, business structuring and consulting for SMEs and medium companies. She also has eight years experience as the co-founder and manager of Academia 1,61. This social enterprise educates teenagers including those from vulnerable groups (e.g., children from foster homes, children with cancer and migrants) through a informal approaches, adventure tourism and eco-campaigns.
