Dr Ayesha Zulfiqar is the Co-founder, Director and Chief Medical and Research Officer of Bioniks, a pioneering social enterprise in Pakistan developing affordable, AI-powered, brain-controlled bionic limbs and assistive devices for people with limb differences and physical disabilities. With a strong background in medicine and innovation, she leads Bioniks’ research and clinical integration, ensuring technology is tailored to users’ needs. Recognised globally, she is a 2023 Bayer Foundation Women Empowerment Award Winner, a 2024 WE Empower UN SDG Challenge awardee and a finalist for the Women in Tech APAC Awards 2024. She drives inclusive healthcare to transform lives, restoring mobility, dignity and independence.
