Sara is Anishinaabe with family roots in Northern Ontario, Canada. She is a Registered Nurse, a Registered Midwife, and holds her master’s in business administration (MBA) from the Rotman School of Management. She is currently the Director of the Indigenous Innovation Initiative at Grand Challenges Canada, one of the largest social impact investors in Canada. Their work is dedicated to supporting innovators and communities to identify and solve their own challenges, drive inclusive growth, and improve all life through Indigenous innovation that is by and for Indigenous peoples. Their inaugural program is to advance Indigenous gender equality through innovation and social entrepreneurship.
