Eoghan Mackie

Eoghan is a commercial lawyer, CEO and social entrepreneur with over 26 years of experience. His mission is to help purpose-led enterprises thrive and deliver meaningful impact. He founded and leads The Challenges Group, which has supported more than 5,000 enterprises across 84 countries in sectors including clean energy, healthcare, education, and regenerative agriculture.  The Group delivers end-to-end enterprise services from ideation and innovation through to growth, investment, mergers & acquisitions, and internationalisation.  Key to the approach which Eoghan has championed is a “with you for the journey” approach, blending deep analytics, integrated data tracking, and responsive service design to provide hands-on, adaptive support. Today, the Group supports several hundred enterprises each year with a team of over 100 consultants worldwide.

Since 2019, Eoghan has led The Ventures Lab, where he pioneered a venture-building programme in Scotland which brings key enterprise, research and innovation ecosystem partners together to provide patient long-term investment and long-term tailored support to de-risk and accelerate impact ventures, helping them scale while maximising their social and environmental impact.
