Catriona is currently the Head of the Scottish Government in Canada (based in Ottawa), representing Scotland’s interests across a broad policy landscape and geography. Catriona is a career civil servant, most recently in the UK Department for Trade and Investment, exporting the UK’s education offer to the Middle East and latterly Chief Operating Officer for the Life Sciences sector team focused on trade and investment opportunities. Prior to this, Catriona was in 10 Downing Street working as Head of Partnerships for the Great Campaign, as well as events and visits lead for the coalition Government. Before this she spent 10 years in New York working for the UK Mission to the UN.
