Kristin Kagetsu

Kristin Kagetsu is the Co-founder and CEO of Saathi, an award-winning Indian social enterprise. An MIT-trained engineer with a deep passion for sustainable manufacturing, Kristin’s journey in India began while developing natural dye crayons for an NGO, an experience that cemented her commitment to creating impactful solutions on the ground. At Saathi, she pioneers fully biodegradable and compostable menstrual hygiene products from banana and bamboo fibres. This innovative approach tackles plastic waste, champions the circular economy and empowers women through an inclusive supply chain. Kristin has been named a Forbes 30 Under 30 fellow and a Cartier Women’s Initiative finalist, while Saathi has gained global recognition from TIME Magazine, Fast Company and the UN Environment Programme.
