TVBS GOOD: Bringing sustainability into everyday life

Through its ESG Development Department and Corporate Sustainability Committee, the company has integrated environmental, social and governance principles into every aspect of its operations – making sustainability clear, actionable and accessible to all.

At the heart of these efforts is TVBS GOOD, an ESG brand built on four pillars: Protecting the Environment, Caring for Society, Building Partnerships and Promoting Health. Leveraging its media influence, TVBS GOOD engages audiences and inspires practical actions that help people incorporate sustainability into their daily lives.

Simplifying ESG for all

TVBS GOOD takes complex ESG topics – such as climate risks, energy transition, plastic reduction, the circular economy and social well-being – and transforms them into understandable, actionable content. Through news stories, video features, engaging programmess and O2O exhibitions, TVBS shows viewers how they can make a difference in their communities and the world.

Action beyond words

TVBS doesn’t just talk about sustainability – it takes action. TVBS staff and celebrities collaborate on tree-planting projects in Jian Shi, Hsinchu, nurturing Taiwan’s native fringe trees together.

Starting in 2025, April has become Sustainability Action Month, during which TVBS produces detailed ESG reports, promotes daily green habits and organises hands-on activities. One notable example: in collaboration with RE-THINK, over 250 volunteers joined to clean up beaches in Shimen District, turning sustainability into a collective effort.

Sustainable media innovation

TVBS has also transformed its TV production processes to be more environmentally friendly. The talk show “T-Viewpoint” achieved carbon neutrality for one episode and used another episode to explain how its carbon footprint was measured – helping viewers understand how media companies can operate more sustainably.

TVBS leads the way in adopting clean energy for its productions. The company employs hybrid news cars, LED lighting, energy-efficient equipment and cloud technology to minimise carbon emissions – demonstrating that media can be both high-quality and sustainable.

 

Caring for people and communities

Through its Infinite Love program, TVBS supports rural communities by delivering warm meals to children and families in need. This reflects the brand’s commitment to social responsibility, connecting people and fostering a caring society.

Impressive results and global reach

Since the launch of TVBS GOOD, the brand has achieved remarkable milestones: producing over 1,000 sustainability reports, organising more than 10 exhibitions, running two volunteer programmes and reaching over 2.2 million website views and nearly 1.3 million readers.

As the strategic coordinator and media partner of the Earth Solutions Annual Forum, TVBS amplifies global discussions on sustainable solutions and highlights Taiwan’s leadership in ESG communication.
