Gabrielle Neamtan-Lapalme

Gabrielle Neamtan-Lapalme has worked in the field of community and social housing for over 10 years. She is currently Assistant Executive Director for SHAPEM (Society for community housing in east Montreal). SHAPEM, a non-profit organisation created in 1988, is currently managing 1750 housing units of community housing for a wide variety of populations.
She is responsible for the development of new community housing projects. She is actively involved in neighbourhood development processes in partnership with other community organisations and different levels of government. She is also involved in SHAPEM’s finances and on-going building management.
Ms Lapalme received a master’s degree in Urban studies in 2011 and a diploma in management in 2017.
