The study provides insights into the characteristics of 59 respondents involved in social enterprises. The social enterprises focus on creating employment, improving health, empowering women and aligning with sustainable development goals. Recommendations for policymakers include new legal statutes, tax incentives and social procurement policies to support the growth of social enterprises.
