Viviantie Sarjuni is a Malaysian social entrepreneur with 15 years of experience running an award winning government agency focused on social innovation. Viviantie has played a pioneering role in the social enterprise ecosystem in Sabah which is the poorest state in Malaysia. Through the Sabah Creative Economy and Innovation Centre (SCENIC) Viviantie explores alternative economic models to challenge capitalism. In just three years, she has helped nearly 100 social enterprises, mainly in rural areas, secure funding. Viviantie was awarded the prestigious Chevening Scholarship by the UK government in 2022 and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in social innovation and entrepreneurship.
