Martin Van Den Borre

Agricultural technologist by training Martin entered the world of the social economy working with marginalised small farmers in post-civil war context of El Salvador. He worked for a dozen years as a cooperative developer and for 20 years with different worker and farmer owned alternative trade organizations on all continents. More recently he served as executive Director of C.I.T.I.E.S. a knowledge and innovation transfer centre on the social economy. He is currently working as a consultant, principally working with Communautique and Fab City Montréal on building the Fab City movement from the social and solidarity economy perspective.
