Lorraine is a recognised expert in Irish social enterprise, with extensive strategy, policy, and implementation skills. She is a Director of Social Enterprise Republic of Ireland, chairs the committee advising the Minister for Finance on the Credit Union Sector and is a Director of Microfinance Ireland. As Principal of Afanite, she leads a business which bridges the gap between social, commercial and public sectors.
A graduate of Trinity College Dublin with a B.A. Mod in Economics and Geography (1992) and Masters in Literature (1994). She also holds a Masters in International Relations focussed on social enterprise from Dublin City University (2012).
