Social Entrepreneurship for Inclusive Growth in the Democratic Republic of Congo

This report explores the social enterprise sector in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), focusing on SEs’ role in job creation, livelihood improvement and serving the rural and urban poor. It discusses challenges in scaling up SEs but highlights their potential to contribute to Sustainable Development Goals. Case studies of SEs like Makala Bio and Panzi Hospital demonstrate their social missions, financial sustainability and scalability in serving marginalised communities.
