Co-creating Hubs for Social Enterprises – Case Studies from Italy

This collection of case studies highlights four innovative social enterprises in Italy: Neu[noi], PMO Coworking, Moltivolti, and Per Esempio. These organisations address youth unemployment, social inclusion, and sustainable development through co-working models, intercultural engagement, and hybrid business structures. Neu[noi] and PMO create shared workspaces in Palermo, focusing on collaboration and innovation. Moltivolti combines a restaurant and co-working space to promote diversity and employ migrants. Per Esempio blends non-profits and commercial models to sustain social missions. Key challenges include space limitations, communication gaps, staff retention, and post-COVID adaptations, with a shared emphasis on ethics, inclusivity, and community building.
