Global Cleantech Innovation Programme
Deadline: July-August, varies by country
This programme supports innovative cleantech solutions in emerging markets and developing economies with mentorship, funding opportunities and access to global networks. It aims to accelerate the development and commercialisation of technologies that address environmental challenges. Participants receive tailored support to scale their businesses and make a global impact. Open to early-stage start-ups and SMEs developing innovative cleantech solutions from 16 countries (check website for more information).
UK Social Enterprise Awards 2024
Deadline extension: 8 July
Celebrating the best in UK social enterprise, these awards highlight organisations that demonstrate excellence in impact, innovation and sustainability. Winners benefit from national recognition and increased visibility in the sector. Open to social enterprises in the UK.
RBC Women in Cleantech Accelerator
Deadline: 15 July
A two-year program for women entrepreneurs that focuses on advancing their breakthrough ideas into market-ready cleantech products with the potential for global impact. This programme offers business advice, an opportunity to work with the federal government, access to market intelligence, capital and more. Open to women-identifying and/or non-binary leaders who are working to commercialise a cleantech innovation with potential for global impact and registered in Canada.
100+ Accelerator Program
Deadline: 18 July
The 100+ Accelerator supports startups working on sustainability challenges across six areas: Smart Agriculture, Water Stewardship, Circular Economy, Climate Action, Biodiversity, and Inclusive Growth. Selected startups receive 6 months of remote training, up to $100K for pilot implementation and the chance to scale through partnerships with major corporations. Open worldwide.
Community Foundation Ireland Grants
Deadline: 19 July
The Community Foundation Ireland offers various grants to support biodiversity, community development and social equity projects. One such initiative includes grants to develop Community Biodiversity Plans, providing funding up to €10,000. Open to social enterprises and non-profits in Ireland.
Gender Just Climate Solutions Awards 2024
Deadline: 21 July
The Gender Just Climate Solutions Awards recognise transformative projects that address climate change while promoting gender equality. Winners receive support for scaling their solutions and gaining international visibility. Open to organisations and initiatives focused on gender-just climate solutions worldwide.
Climate Leadership Fellowship
Deadline: 21 July
The Climate Leadership Fellowship aims to empower young climate leaders by providing them with training, mentorship and networking opportunities to enhance their impact on climate action. Open to young leaders worldwide aged 22-35, working on climate solutions.
Google for Startups Accelerator Climate Change
Deadline: 21 July
This 10-week, equity-free hybrid programme is open to Seed to Series A startups tackling climate change with tech. The programme offers mentorship, technical project support and workshops on various topics. Open to startups worldwide.
EU Empowerment Fund (YEF) through the Global Youth Mobilization
Deadline: 24 July
The Youth Empowerment Fund provides micro-grants for youth-led projects that contribute to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Individual young people and informal groups can receive micro-grants ranging from €500 to €1,500 while registered youth organisations are eligible for grants between €3,000 and €5,000. The fund focuses on empowering marginalized and underrepresented communities by supporting local initiatives addressing climate change, gender equality and more. Open to young people aged 14 to 30 from countries eligible for Official Development Assistance (ODA).
Social Shifters Global Innovation Challenge
Deadline: 31 July
This challenge is for young people worldwide aged 18 to 30 who have ideas to solve today’s most pressing social and environmental challenges. Participants will learn from peers get support for their projects and get an opportunity to compete for multiple grant awards of up to $10,000 USD.
D-Prize Global Competition 2024
Deadline: 4 August
The D-Prize offers up to $20,000 USD to launch a new organisations, as well as mentorship and support to aspiring entrepreneurs who can design and launch scalable distribution solutions to alleviate poverty. Open to individuals and teams worldwide.
Atlantic Fellows for Social Equity Fellowship 2025
Deadline: 5 August
A fellowship for Indigenous social equity in Australia, Aotearoa and the Pacific region. Included free foundation year undertaking Master of Social Change Leadership at the University of Melbourne and becoming members of the global Atlantic Fellows community. Throughout the foundation year, Fellows refine and develop a social change project, drawing on the most current and impactful critical Indigenous scholarship from Australia, Aotearoa and around the world. Open to Indigenous and non-Indigenous peoples from Australia, Aotearoa and most Pacific Island nations (Non-Indigenous applicants must have a strong track record of working on Indigenous-focused projects/initiatives)
Diana Award 2024
Deadline: 5 August
The Diana Award recognises and celebrates young people making a difference in their communities. Open worldide, nominees must be aged between 9 and 25.
Youth CoLab: Springboard Elevate Programme 2024
Deadline: 15 August
This programme is a 3-month fellowship that supports purpose-driven social entrepreneurs who lead impact projects that improve the lives of under-represented communities. The goal is to help young social entepreneurs enhance their leadership, storytelling, resource mobilisation skills for their venture development. Open to people aged 18 to 35 from a specific set of countries (check website for more information).
Kickstarter Challenge 2024
Deadline: 16 August
The Kickstarter Challenge offers five finalists the opportunity to pitch their new business idea for the chance to secure a share of $60,000 in equity-free funding. Open to female entrepreneurs in Australia working in health, climate change, community impact or FinTech.
