Welcome: evening
Join a Welcome to Country ceremony with Traditional Owners, followed by BBQ and refreshments in the courtyard at Old Beechworth Gaol.
Immersive field trip
- 3 October: Yackandandah – Corryong – Bright
Begin an immersive field trip across North East Victoria. Meet rural social entrepreneurs and explore community-led social enterprises.- Morning departure from Old Beechworth Gaol.
- Evening meal and overnight accommodation in Bright.
- 4 October: Mt Buffalo – Beechworth
- Morning departure from Bright.
- Afternoon workshop at Old Beechworth Gaol.
Evening dinner
Rural Gathering participants and philanthropic and government representatives come together for dinner + guest speaker + entertainment at Old Beechworth Gaol
*Overnight accommodation in Beechworth and surrounding area.
Rural Gathering Forum
Rural Gathering participants join with government and philanthropic representatives to explore local and international models and best practice approaches to community-led rejuvenation through social enterprise in a rural setting.
The event will incorporate: Social Enterprise Schools showcase and market day, interactive workshops, Q&A with panel and release of the Rural Gathering Manifesto.
