The Hong Kong General Chamber of Social Enterprises (HKGCSE) was proud to be the host organiser of SEWF 2016, the first international forum for social enterprises in Hong Kong.
Hong Kong General Chamber of Social Enterprises Limited is the voice of social enterprise, providing a platform for social enterprises in Hong Kong to share best practice. Connect through events and networking groups. Negotiate policy issues with key decision makers and politicians. Promote their work in the media and the Chamber’s publications and website and support each other in promoting and strengthening the presence of social enterprises in Hong Kong. We contribute to building an ecology that is conductive to the social enterprise movement.
In view of the rapid, positive development of the social enterprise movement in Hong Kong, HKGCSE decided to bid to host SEWF 2016:
Under the theme of “New Frontiers New Markets”, the SEWF 2016, comprised of 3 keynotes, 8 plenary sessions and 22 workshops, was held from 25th to 27th September 2016 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. More than 100 speakers, including experienced social enterprises practitioners, academics and volunteers from around the world (from over 24 nationalities) shared their ideas and insight into social innovation and the development of social enterprises.
