This month, we’ve curated a selection of awards, fellowships and programmes designed to support your innovative solutions and impactful initiatives. RT Youth Power Fellowship 

Deadline: 9 August 

The Responsible Technology Youth Power Fund is a philanthropic initiative designed to support youth-led and intergenerational organisations shaping the responsible technology movement. Grants range from $25,000 to $150,000. Open to youth (up to age 30) or intergenerationally led organisations and initiatives, U.S.-based 501(c)(3) public charity status or affiliation and youth working on the responsible technology movement, particularly in areas such as artificial intelligence (AI), mental health and well-being and climate change. Must be based in the US or have an affiliation in the US. 

GCA Local Adaptation Champions Awards 2024 

Deadline: 11 August 

The GCA Local Adaptation Champions Awards recognises and rewards outstanding, innovative and scalable local initiatives that tackle climate change and enhance climate resilience for the most vulnerable communities and individuals on the frontlines of this critical issue. Open to participants globally, this award brings recognition and publicity to all nominees, with four winners each receiving up to €15,000. 

Fit 4 Start 

Deadline: 12 August 

A competitive six-month programme that fosters entrepreneurial success, offering intensive coaching, mentorship and networking opportunities. Open to startups in Luxembourg in healthtech, digital and space sectors. Selected startups receive €50,000 in equity-free seed funding, with the potential for an additional €100,000 in state aid. This programme is a gateway to connecting with private investors and scaling your innovative ventures.

Twilio.org Climate Tech Prize 

Deadline: 14 August 

The Twilio.org Climate Tech Prize offers entrepreneurs and nonprofits $1 million for actionable tech solutions addressing climate-induced challenges. This prize supports tech-forward nonprofits and early-stage companies with equity-free funding to enhance mitigation, preparedness, response and recovery efforts. Open worldwide. 

Growing Social Enterprise in Parramatta 

Deadline: 26 August 

The City of Parramatta Council is offering a total of $80,000 to support existing, sustainable and high-impact social enterprises aiming to expand their operations. This grant is designed for established social enterprises committed to sustainability and impactful social missions, now looking to scale their operations and broaden their reach within the vibrant community of Parramatta. 

AI for Climate Action Innovation Factory 

Deadline: 30 August 

AI for Climate Action Innovation Factory aims to advance the utilisation of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in combating climate change, with solutions to be prominently showcased at COP29. The winners will be announced at the 2024 United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP29), in Baku, Azerbaijan. 

The Circulars Accelerator 

Applications open in September 

This six-month programme is designed to connect early to growth-stage innovators with industry leaders and circular economy experts. Participants will receive strategic workshops, 1:1 mentoring, networking opportunities at key events, investor engagement and continuous support. This accelerator fosters collaboration to tackle environmental challenges and transform production and consumption for a sustainable future. 

BIND Open Innovation + Acceleration 

Deadline: 6 September 

The BIND Open Innovation and Acceleration Programme connects innovative startups with established industry leaders to solve digital transformation challenges in sectors like Intelligent Industry, Clean Energy & Sustainability, Health Tech and Food Tech. Startups gain paid contracts, market validation, access to 70 corporate clients, high-impact mentoring and investor introductions—all while retaining full ownership with no equity taken. Open worldwide.

The Social Innovation Prize from the Lisbon City Council 

Deadline: 8 September 

Lisboa Innovation for All is a social impact challenge that seeks innovative solutions to address key social issues in Lisbon namely improving education quality, enhancing healthcare access and integrating migrants into the community. Open to teams, individuals and organisations worldwide. Selected finalists will receive in-kind support for a six-month proof-of-concept phase and winners from each category will be awarded €120,000 to implement their solutions.

The Carbon13 Venture Launchpad 

Deadline: 10 September 

The Carbon13 Venture Launchpad is a 20-week accelerator programme supporting the development of solutions to the climate emergency. It connects participants with an unparalleled ecosystem for climate entrepreneurship, having already worked with over 650 founders and invested in 71 startups. Open to startups with two or more founders, registered or able to register in the UK committed to building a venture to reduce emissions by millions of tonnes a year. Offers an opportunity to pitch for £200,000, highly bespoke, one-on-one support, networking and more.
