Activity Week

Rural Social Enterprise Symposium

17-18th September, Lewis and Harris (Max: 40 delegates)

40 global delegates will convene in the stunning surroundings of the Isle of Lewis and Harris for this event, hosted by Highlands and Islands Enterprise. During the two-day event, social enterprise practitioners and policy makers will participate in a session focusing on rural social enterprise development and what learning can be taken from Scotland.

Only delegates registered to attend SEWF 2018 can add the Rural Symposium to their booking. Delegates have the option of choosing a ticket for the ‘Rural Symposium with tour’, which includes a social enterprise study visit departing Edinburgh on the morning of Saturday 15th September, arriving in Stornoway on the afternoon of Sunday 16th September with an overnight stay on Saturday evening included or a ticket for ‘Rural Symposium without tour’ where they will make their own travel arrangements and join the main group in Stornoway on Sunday 16th or Monday 17th September.

Delegates may also purchase tickets for family members (a maximum of 10 places in total for all family members) to join them throughout this time, with or without the social enterprise study tour. We will be happy to advise cultural and touristic activities family members can participate in on Monday 17th – Tuesday 18th September, as family members will not be able to access the Rural Symposium.
